This beautifully detailed hand carved mano figa charm is made of genuine and increasingly rare Asturian Azabache Jet. Spanish azabache in the Asturian region was part of the coal industry that has now essentially dried up. Spanish azabache, much like the British version, is much harder and valuable than the one found in the Americas. This azabache is sourced from Villaviciosa, Asturias. Spanish azabache is stronger and takes a much higher polish. The bail and cap are made of sterling silver 925. Dimensions on the charm are 14.7mm (0.58") left to right and approximately 50mm (2") top to bottom, including the bail. Please note, dimensions are approximate as no two charms are exactly alike since they are handmade.
